1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Degis ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
These terms apply to all users of the Platform, including attendees, event organisers, and administrators.
2. User Accounts
You must create an account to purchase tickets or host events. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- You must provide accurate and truthful registration information
- You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate others
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
3. Ticket Purchases
All ticket sales are final unless the event is cancelled by the organizer. Degis acts as the ticketing agent on behalf of organisers and is not responsible for event content, cancellations, or changes made by organisers.
Service fees are displayed clearly at checkout and are non-refundable in all circumstances, including event cancellations.
- Tickets are issued digitally and linked to your account
- Transferring tickets to another user is subject to the organizer's transfer policy
- Reselling tickets above face value is prohibited on this platform
- Refunds are processed within 7 business days when applicable
4. Organizer Responsibilities
Event organisers are solely responsible for the events they create, including accuracy of event details, venue compliance, and delivery of the event experience described.
- Organisers must complete KYC verification before listing paid events
- Event descriptions, dates, and pricing must be accurate and up to date
- Organisers are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses
- Cancellations must be communicated to Degis at least 48 hours in advance
- Payouts are processed after event completion, subject to verification
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following conduct on the Platform:
- Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent event listings
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users or organizers
- Attempting to circumvent payment or access controls
- Scraping, reverse engineering, or otherwise misusing platform data
- Creating fake reviews, ratings, or attendee records
Violations may result in account suspension or permanent banning without refund.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Degis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid Degis in the twelve months prior to the claim.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
